In order to better manage its digital asset, both internally and with stakeholders, Edison Media Center has been created a platform for researching, browsing and downloading images, videos, documents and contributions from Edison's corporate image.
Edison Media Center is the online multimedia archive that collects all company photos, videos, advertisements, pdf literature and historical photos of the oldest European energy company.
For over a year, the digital library has been managed through MomaPIX Digital Asset Management software. The first phase of the project, that of migrating the database that resided on Orphea, was quite complex. It involved transferring the entire asset, remapping the metadata and permissions of user groups on the different categories of content, defining the operating modes of the search engine and workflows.
The second phase of implementation saw the involvement of M Studio of Milan, the graphic design agency that managed and coordinated the project, designed the website layout consistent with Edison's brand identity. Great attention was paid to the study of the UX design and to the creation of a responsive layout, usable by all mobile devices.
Making use of Digital Asset Management for the media center entails concrete advantages for Edison in terms of efficiency and productivity, as regards the management of content relevant to communication.
